ADULT JIU-JITSU.
START WHERE YOU ARE.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for adults in Indio — morning and evening classes, Gi and No-Gi, taught by black belts in a room that welcomes complete beginners and challenges experienced grapplers.
TECHNIQUE OVER
TOUGHNESS.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the art of control — using leverage, position, and timing instead of size and strength. It's the rare workout that's also a lifelong skill: honest conditioning, real self-defense, and a problem to solve every single round. No experience is needed to start, and most of our adults began as complete beginners.
Classes are led by Professor Carlos Miller, a 4th-degree black belt with 29+ years on the mats (lineage: Rickson Gracie → Aloisio Silva), alongside Albert Aguirre — a 1st-degree black belt born and raised in Indio who leads adult No-Gi and the 5 AM morning Gi classes — and Ron Ishikawa, a 2nd-degree black belt who also holds a black belt in Judo.
A typical class runs about an hour: warm-up, technique of the day drilled with a partner, then positional training and live rounds matched to your experience level. Early risers hit the 5 AM Gi classes before work; evening students train Tuesday and Thursday nights; Saturday open mat brings the whole team together.

Ask About MembershipADULT BJJ QUESTIONS,
ANSWERED.
I'm out of shape. Should I get fit first?
No — Jiu-Jitsu is how you get fit. Every new student works at their own pace, and the conditioning comes naturally with consistent training. Showing up is the only prerequisite.
Am I too old to start?
We have adults who started in their 30s, 40s, and beyond. Rounds are matched by experience and intensity, and technique-first training means you progress without wrecking your body.
Should I start with Gi or No-Gi?
Either — or both. Gi builds a deep technical game with grips; No-Gi is faster and relies on underhooks and body control. Most members train both, and your membership covers the full schedule.
What do I need for my first class?
Comfortable athletic clothes and a water bottle. We'll take care of the rest and point you to the right uniform if you decide to continue. Your first class is free.
