My Kid Has Never Played a Sport in Their Life

We hear some version of that sentence almost every time a parent calls about Flow Limitless. It usually comes out like a warning, as if it might rule the class out before we even get to a schedule. It doesn’t. Flow Limitless was never built around kids who already know how to line up, wait a turn, or read a coach’s cue across a room. It was built around kids who don’t, yet.

Flow Limitless starts this Thursday, October 1, at 3:15 PM — two days from now. If your child has never set foot in a class of any kind, that isn’t the wrong place to start. It might be closer to the right one.

What No Experience Really Means Here

A team sport assumes a lot before the whistle even blows — that a kid already knows to run when the coach says run, to watch for a pass, to hold still in a huddle. Flow Limitless doesn’t start from that assumption. A coach kneels to eye level and shows a movement once, slowly, then once more from the other side, before asking anyone to try it themselves.

If the group is working a balance game and one student needs the version with a hand on the wall, that’s the version they get. Class stays small enough that a coach can adjust the pace, the number of steps, or how much contact is involved — student by student, on the mat, not from across the room. A kid who’s never followed group instructions before isn’t behind on day one. There isn’t a “behind” to be here.

What Thursday Looks Like

Doors open early and there’s seating right at the edge of the mat — parents and caregivers are welcome to stay for the whole class. Shoes come off, no uniform is needed for a first visit, and a water bottle covers the rest. Students who use a wheelchair train with us in Indio too: the mat is a padded surface a chair doesn’t roll onto, which is a two-minute logistics conversation before class, never a reason to sit one out. Some students transfer onto the mat, some work right at its edge with a coach, and nobody is ever asked to leave their chair.

Before You Come

Call or text us at (951) 337-3781 before Thursday and tell us anything that would help going in — how your child tends to handle a new room, a new sound, a new group of faces. We would much rather hear it on the phone than guess at it on the mat.

The Practical Part

Flow Limitless at Indio is for ages 6–17, Thursdays 3:15–4:00 PM, once a week, at 42425 Jackson Street, Suite C112. First class is free and there’s nothing to buy to try it. After that it’s $150 a month, month-to-month — no term contract, no prepay — with 15% off a second child in the same household and 20% off a third. A child with a disability is always welcome in our standard kids and youth classes at the standard price, with reasonable accommodations at no extra charge.
